Reflectors

The secret of many UV systems lies in the use of reflectors. Depending on lamp position and reflector geometry, the reflected UV radiation is either broadly distributed or bundled. To increase the UV reflection of the surface, the reflector is metallised with special layers in a high vacuum.
Special reflectors are required for temperature-sensitive substrates. Dichroic reflectors (cold mirrors) are designed for use in high-performance UV applications with simultaneous reduction of infrared radiation and thus heat exposure. Dichroic reflectors are made of various materials (glass or aluminium) which are coated several times. The coating absorbs IR radiation and reflects UV radiation.
A fully-automated coating system ensures precision manufacturing and uniform distribution of the coating layers. This optical finish can be applied both to flat and convex components – we offer customised coating solutions.
