To protect the environment, fulfill our social and legal obligations, and actively shape a sustainable future, the Hoenle Group has established guiding principles.
Raising awareness of environmental protection and the careful use of resources are integrated into our processes to actively contribute not only to specific issues, but also throughout our value chain and in our daily work.
In our product development, we prefer to use reusable materials for our devices and systems. In this way, we aim to enable environmentally friendly disposal or disassembly of our products, as well as reuse through recycling after a long operational lifetime.
Climate Neutrality by 2045
We want to continuously reduce our ecological footprint and achieve climate neutrality by 2045. We set this goal for all locations worldwide.
We will be climate-neutral by 2045 for all emissions that we can directly influence (Scope 1+Scope 2).
We will achieve this goal through several measures. These include: Increasing energy efficiency, producing renewable energies, increasing the proportion of green electricity and financing compensation projects.


Diversity
People from 35 different nationalities work together successfully in the Hoenle Group. 32% of whom are women. We want to further promote diversity and increase the proportion of women in the top three management levels and our supervisory board by 2028.
Supply Chain Visibility
The Hoenle AG Code of Conduct for Suppliers is based on the values of our Company and reflects the expectations of Hoenle AG with regard to the commitments and actions of our suppliers in social and ecological terms. Hoenle AG actively demands compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct from its key suppliers. Suppliers thereby agree to comply with the principles of the Code of Conduct.

The Management Board of Hoenle AG is committed to the sustainable conduct of the Group in accordance with its corporate policy. In addition to long-term economic goals, ecological and social goals are also appropriately considered. The Management Board compensation therefore also includes sustainable, environmentally-oriented components.
Sustainability targets are defined for the non-financial performance indicators relevant to the Hoenle Group’s business activities. Key strategic objectives are explained in the corporate policy.
Furthermore, the Management Board has defined specific objectives, the progress of which is reported on regularly.
As an internationally operating group of companies, we must comply with laws and regulations in various countries and, at the same time, are responsible to our employees, as well as to our customers, partners, shareholders, society, and the environment.
Therefore we have established a framework for compliant and ethical conduct. We are committed to protecting human rights and distance ourselves from child and forced labor. We adhere to the principles of the UN Global Compact initiative and also require our suppliers to comply with them in our general purchasing conditions.

Environmentally Friendly Technologies
Our UV technology enables processes that require fewer chemicals and less energy than alternative methods. When it comes to environmentally friendly disinfection of water using UV energy, it even does so without any chemicals. We continuously develop our products to improve their environmental footprint and promote resource-saving applications.
Resource Conservation
We reduce the consumption of energy and raw materials through efficient processes and the use of sustainable technologies.
Emission and Waste Minimization
Through innovative developments and optimized production processes, we minimize emissions and waste to continuously reduce our environmental impact.
Compliance with Legal Requirements
We comply with all environmentally relevant laws, regulations, and obligations and, where possible, go beyond them.

Hoenle AG has had an environmental management system certified according to ISO 14001 since 2018. Hoenle UV Disinfection GmbH also has been ISO 14001 certified since 2021. Hoenle Adhesives GmbH introduced ÖKOPROFIT, an environmental management system based on DIN EN ISO 14001, in 2008. As part of its environmental policy, it commits to complying with its environmental and sustainability requirements, thus exceeding applicable laws and regulations. The independent rating agency ISS evaluates our sustainability efforts annually.

Qualification
Our employees are the fundamental and most important resource for our company’s economic success.
Hoenle therefore places great value on a positive working environment, targeted continuing education measures, and in-house training, offering promising career prospects. Furthermore, Hoenle works closely with selected universities and offers internships as well as bachelor’s and master’s theses. In this way, Hoenle offers young people the opportunity to gain deeper insights into a technology company.
Hoenle also counteracts the shortage of skilled workers through its own vocational training.
To ensure a high level of qualification, Hoenle continuously invests in the training and continuing education of its staff. For this purpose, it draws on both internal experts from the respective specialist areas and external service providers.

Governance Global Compact Initiative
Respect for Human Rights
We adhere to the principles of the UN Global Compact initiative and require our suppliers to comply with them in our general purchasing conditions. These principles primarily concern the protection of international human rights, the right to collective bargaining, the exclusion of forced and child labor, the exclusion of discrimination in recruitment and employment, environmental responsibility, and the prevention of corruption. We ensure that our suppliers only supply Hoenle AG and its subsidiaries with products that do not contain conflict minerals as defined by the Dodd-Frank Act.
Combating Corruption and Bribery
Our relationships with our business partners are based on the quality of our products and services, reliability, and competitive prices and conditions. Clear transparency and internal control mechanisms ensure appropriate protection.
Hoenle does not tolerate any form of bribery. Corruption risks are monitored as part of the risk management system.
Code of Conduct
