Conventional UV Units

for efficient drying and curing in printing, converting, coating and bonding applications

Hoenle offers a wide range of conventional UV systems, units, and lamps for efficient drying and curing in printing, converting, coating, and bonding applications. Using UV radiation in the 200–480 nm range, photo-reactive inks, varnishes, coatings, adhesives, and sealants can be fully cured within seconds. Typical systems include lamps, reflectors, housings, cooling units, and electronic controls, allowing seamless integration into existing production processes while ensuring high speed, reliability, and excellent surface quality.

UV gas discharge lamps are available as spot, line, or flood units for small or large area curing. Many adhesives can be cured with either UV gas discharge or UV LED lamps. Gas discharge lamps provide a broad spectrum, which can be filtered to optimize curing. Short UV wavelengths (>320 nm) produce drier, tack-free surfaces, while visible light (400–420 nm) can accelerate curing and penetrate UV-inhibited materials, offering flexibility and efficiency for photo-reactive adhesives.

Hoenle’s application engineers support customers with equipment and also adhesive recommendations to optimize the UV curing process for maximum productivity and efficiency.
