Gräfelfing/München (pta011/12.05.2021/08:05) – Although the Hönle Group was still largely spared from the corona pandemic in the first half of the previous year, the reluctance to invest especially in the printing business was clearly felt in the current financial year. Nevertheless, Hönle succeeded in raising both the revenue and earnings level, supported in particular, by the application fields of air disinfection and water disinfection. Overall, the Hönle Group’s revenues in the first six months of the 2020/2021 financial year came to TEur 57,605, up 13.3 % on the previous year’s level. The operating result rose by 16.4 % to TEur 6,733.

Gräfelfing, Munich (pta011/22.02.2021/08:00) – In particular, as a consequence of acquisitions, the Hönle Group’s sales revenues increased by 4.6% to TEur 26,673 in the first quarter of financial year 2020/2021. With Sterilsystems GmbH, based in Austria, Hönle acquired a company specialising in UV-C air and surfaces disinfection in the food industry. UMEX GmbH is also new to the corporate group. The company offers a wide range of products in the field of water disinfection. With Technigraf GmbH, a specialist for conveyor belts with UV irradiation modules has joined the Hönle Group. The conveyor belt modules are used in production and serve as test equipment for laboratories. In addition, the company has a high vertical range of manufacture and is thus in a position to produce special systems for the Hönle Group. uv-technik meyer GmbH has been a member of the Hönle Group since the beginning of the new financial year. The company, which markets and sells medium pressure lamps, electronic power supply units and sensor technology, moved its registered head office to uv-technik Speziallampen GmbH and was merged with this company with effect from 1 October 2020.

Gräfelfing/München (pta009/02.12.2020/07:40) – From spring 2020, the business development of the Hönle Group was increasingly influenced by the effects of the global corona pandemic. According to preliminary figures, sales in the 2019/2020 financial year were therefore Eur 93.9 million and below the previous year’s figure of Eur 107.7 million. The operating result fell from Eur 17.0 million to Eur 8.1 million. The main factors behind the decline in earnings were the Adhesives and Glass & Lamps segments: Sales and earnings here were clearly below those of the previous year. In addition to the weak economic situation, a significantly lower turnover with an adhesive application in the sensor technology area was the main reason for the decrease in earnings. The pre-tax result (EBT) of Eur 7.8 million was 53.5% and the consolidated result of Eur 5.6 million was 54.8% below the previous year’s figures.

Gräfelfing/München (pta030/18.08.2020/16:05) – Dr. Hönle AG acquires STERILSYSTEMS GmbH. The Hönle Group is thus significantly expanding its activities in the life science sector. As a result of the pandemic, sensitivity to and global demand for disinfection solutions has risen sharply. As one of the largest UV suppliers, the Management Board sees very good prospects for the Hönle Group in this interesting growth market.

Graefelfing (pta013/07.08.2020/07:40) – The Hönle Group generated sales revenues of TEur 71.734 in the first nine months of the financial year 2019/2020, which is 11.7% below the previous year’s level. The operating result (EBIT) dropped from TEur 13,256 to TEur 6,287. The COVID 19 pandemic led to clearly lower sales revenue and earnings contributions in the third quarter, in particular, weighting on the business development of all segments of the Hönle Group. Moreover, special influences (merger of Aladin GmbH with UV-Technik Speziallampen GmbH) had an adverse impact on earnings of the Glass & Lamps segment. Earnings before tax (EBT) contracted from TEur 13,084 to TEur 6,069 in the nine-month period. After income taxes, net consolidated profit amounted to TEur 4,739 in comparison with TEur 9,236 in the previous year, corresponding to earnings per share of Eur 0.87 (PY: Eur 1.69). The net profit on sales thus fell from 11.4% to 6.6%.
