Biofilm on evaporator fins doesn’t just look unpleasant, it degrades heat and cold transmission, and re-contaminates room air with bacteria and mold every time the system runs.

VD systems provide ongoing disinfection of evaporator fins, preventing biofilm formation before it starts and eliminating the odor issues it causes in ventilation systems. Reflectors and mounting consoles allow variable height adjustment for targeted disinfection of the specific fin geometry, while the electronic ballast sits in a watertight stainless steel housing built for the humid conditions around evaporators. Because every evaporator setup differs, VD is configured individually to the customer’s system.

Installation is simple, flexible and cost-effective, designed for retrofitting into virtually any existing evaporator system without major modification.
